The Malhotra Bride by Sundari Venkatraman – Book Review

The Malhotra Bride by Sundari Venkatraman: Book Review—Do you ever read books just for the happy vibe the story carries? Well, this book, The Malhotra Bride, is one of those books that I started reading coz of my fascination with the title but as I went into the book, its happy vibes just made my heart go crazy!

The Malhotra Bride by Sundari Venkatraman is a story of a simple girl who belongs to a typical old-fashioned family where girls are supposed to be married at a young age and well, and Sunita was forced into a marriage as well. It was her good luck finding her perfect match in Akshay, who not only liked her but respected her like a human and made her feel confident in her own self. It just took one look at Sunita’s picture and his admiration for her was as clear as glass.

The Malhotra Bride by Sundari Venkatraman

This was the first book by Sundari Ma’am that I read and I am definitely gonna read more by her. If you are someone who wants to start reading fiction, this would be the right book for you to enter the reading world. The language is so easy to read and you will not have to focus on the writing style to understand the plot.

At moments, it did give ITV vibes but more on the cute side. There were so many cute incidences, like when Akshay met her the first time, it was literally a cute meet; when they went on dates…she was not bound to BEHAVE, she could be her own self; when he was shot, the way she cared for him and how his family treated her like their own daughter. It was just C.U.T.E.!

Another remarkable thing? Well, Malhotras are truly the IDEAL IN-LAWS in the history of Indian stories. XD

I loved how they cared for Sunita and respected her family and decisions. Even after having to bear her father’s rude behavior and never leaving her alone, it was truly a commendable thing. Overall, it was AMAZING.

AND DID I TELL YOU THAT HE CALLS HER SWEETHEART???

Damn it! When he says sweetheart, my heart goes crazy. Especially when all she wants is to say no to the alliance, but still his “sweetheart” just melts both our hearts, Sunita’s as well as mine. 😔👍
