I am a keen fiction reader and a book reviewer based in Chandigarh. I review my books as ReadWithSonal and showcase my love for books that have been with me since after my high school days. My interest in fiction books started back in 2017 and years later in 2022 I started this blog.
Ever since I started my career as a content writer in 2021, I had meant to start this blog but was quite very nervous thinking if I would even gain any readers or if it would somehow add to people’s life. But then I finally decided to give it a shot because, well, there’s nothing good in keeping regrets, right?
In 2017, I came across the self-publishing platform and a free novel-reading app, Wattpad, which spiked my interest in reading fan fiction. Initially, it was just about Manan Fanfiction, the couple from a well-known Indian Youth Show – Kaisi Yeh Yariaan. Oh yes, I am a Samthaan Girl, I mean, he’s one hell of a fine man, isn’t he?
It was in the later years that I started to explore more genres and subgenres when I discovered fantasy books, including Werewolf, LGBTQ+, teen fiction, new adult, and a lot more. And gradually I just fell in love with reading.
Thereby, in 2022 I finally kept my thoughts aside and started this blog, Read With Sonal. Here I write book reviews, some quotes and excerpts and well, try to go for some general blogs as well.
Apart from books, I am utterly in love with the most Indian thing, TEA. XD
I mean, how can you not crave tea and coffee while reading your comfy read? I love a light snack while reading, it makes me feel all-so-calm, and it cannot be expressed in words.
It’s like, I feel stressed, a book and a cup of tea, I overworked, gimme a cup of tea with a sweet read. More like whatever the problem, books and teas are the solution.
Apart from reading and spitting such rants, I work as an SEO executive and I LOVE it. Maybe a lil less than my throned books but yeah, I love the work, and the workplace.
Just a little heads-up, half of the books I talk about here are ARC reads but my opinions remain unbiased. Just letting you people know in advance because at times people tend to assume the reviews must be paid or are in collab. THAT’S ENTIRELY NOT THE CASE. I write what I personally feel about the plot, the storyline, the characters and the author. It’s all that I feel about them in real life.
