Write Me A Love Story by Ravinder Singh: Book Review

Write Me A Love Story: Book Review – “Write Me A Love Story” by Ravinder Singh is… well how do I say this, well it is a perfect book to know how a relationship that might look like a “lifesaver” or “overwhelming” to you, might turn into the biggest regret in your life. Abhimanyu Razdan, known for his bestselling romance books, fears love and commitment. On the contrary, Asmita Mullick is a literary fiction editor who has literally no interest in romance fiction. The story opens with stupid banter between both, Asmita and Abhimanyu, about the parking space. Although he found it very agitating deep down, it intrigued him to know about her after the meeting.

It is odd to say how the management of Asmita’s office cared more about keeping Abhimanyu and never giving a second thought about how precious she is to their progress. She has been that one editor whose books were long-listed for literary awards. Because of Abhimanyu’s childish demand to make Asmita edit his book (because he wanted her to read his writings) and Asmita’s egoistic decision to NOT agree to edit his books, there were several disagreements and fights. But due to the concerned reasons, when Asmita agrees to read and edit his book, she does find it interesting and loses herself in the book.

When reading the book, it is an undeniable fact that you will fall for their cuteness and the bond they share. It feels so surreal to see a guy who fears relationships and commitments romanticizing a girl who is poles apart from him. A romance author does not believe in relationships. I mean, it’s agitating to see him running away from things like it will trap him once he steps in. As the story continues, they fall apart but still stick to each other and the toxicity in their relationship is so visible that it can make you bang your head (trust me, I almost did).

But then the habit of not leaving a book in the middle, after finishing I can surely say I was deeply satisfied with the end. It is important for us to understand that standing for and with the person we love is important, but it is equally important to understand what we truly want. One must understand that mental peace is one of the most important things we want in life.

In the end, Asmita, taking a realistic and logical step, surely hurt my happy-ending sucker heart, but I understand her point of view as to why she did what she did. Living in such a toxic relationship would have never let her lead a happy life and reading this book has also made me realize how we ignore people around us living a toxic life thinking “It’s not our matter to interfere”. You must give this book a read to not only understand the importance of love and lover but also to understand how important it is to love YOURSELF. 1. he was kinda too self-centered, it was always about him and never really regarded her feelings, don't wanna drop off spoilers but as much perfect MC he was, I hate him for what he did to her…🫠
