The Crumbly Juncture by Vishal Maurya – You know, we sometimes hear about love, how crazy people can go for their love, how they only prioritize that one person over all the other relations that they ever had in their life? Honestly, one can never understand this unless one feels it. The Crumbly Juncture is one such story about Rishabh who loved this girl with all his heart, made her the centre of his world, and always tried his best to be the person she could rely on. Yes, this book is a cute love story of a young boy who experiences his first love.
Vishal Maurya, the author of this beautiful anecdote, has done an incredible job with this story. It’s amazing how he has portrayed the characters, may it be Rishabh, Sameeksha, Kanika, or others. To tell you about the characters, Rishabh is a school pass-out, literally a sweetheart, the emotional type of character, the one who does not fall in love but when he does, he falls hard. Kanika is the childhood best friend and well does not need an explanation, she is that support system that Rishabh requires at each and every point of his life, and well Sameeksha, the girl Rishabh falls for… quite a great plot if I tell you.
And the fun part of this book is not just the plot, it is the way the author has connected the scenes, which made me fall for the characters and the layman’s language that he used. It is not like I had to be all mentally active to read the words. I had to be active to feel those words LOL. And the way he has used Hindi words/phrases/sentences is such a remarkable thing. It makes the reader feel so connected to the characters, the scenes, and the dialogue.
For some people, it is important to understand the difference between love and infatuation, and this anecdote… The Crumbly Juncture by Vishal Maurya is a perfect example of that. Another remarkable factor of this masterpiece is that one cannot control falling for Rishabh. The way he cares for the people he loves, how he focuses on his girl over anything, does everything she says and wants, never focusing on the flaws of the girl and only hyping her at every point. Overall, it is a perfectly cute-cute book.
Honestly, it is not possible, to sum up, the book in just a review. You must give it a read to get the emotions and feel the bond and love… amidst friends as well as a couple, you are gonna love it for sure.
