Wars and Wings: The Incomplete Journey of Three Women | Book Review – A book that revolves around Tia, Tale and Alaan, The Incomplete Journey of Three Women is an interesting romantasy. Tia is a young girl adopted by a human family and is an INCREDIBLE writer of the story of Tale and Alaan. She saw their story in her dreams and decided to pen it down, and honestly, I cannot drop any more spoilers and spoil your fun. 😭✨
Blurb (coz I don’t want to give more spoilers than the author decided to drop): The Incomplete Journey of Three Women is the first book in the Wars and Wings saga. The series rotates around the life of a young girl, Tia Tondon, mysteriously pulled into a world of magic, mystery and chaos. The Incomplete Journey of Three Women sees Tia crack under the family pressure to have a reputed Engineering career. When the headaches and the weird dreams start, Tia is not aware of her role in the big picture. What happens when she meets a mysterious guy claiming her to be a Princess? What happens when she confronts her parents for killing her wishes? What happened with the three women in her dreams? Explore the chaos that is Tia’s life in the first part of the saga, Wars and Wings.

Coming back to my thoughts on the book, to be honest, I have mixed feelings about the book. There’s no doubt that I loved the book to the core. It’s the kind of book I’d like to say I’m happy to end my ear with. It’s like after this January, if I can say any book is staying with me for a longer time, it’s going to be this book; you could say, mainly because I haven’t read part 2 yet 🤣. But no, honestly, it was definitely a good read, something that actually had me awake half the night.
Tia… while she was the main character of the series but there’s no doubt that my mind is more focused on Tale and Alaan. Not because this book contains their story in the mainstream, but mainly because the way her character is shown – it felt a little too personal to me. The desperation to be loved by someone, then the fear of that love, their journey and omg the confession after that… It’s all a package, to be honest. ToT
Yes, it somehow felt like there should have been more to the plot, more feelings, more explanation, more time, more of everything basically, but when have we as readers felt satisfied ToT
At the same time, there’s Alaan, the epitome of beautifulness a guy can ever own. His description was so apt, I can’t even think of a person (actor), who could ever do justice to his looks. It just makes you feel like you entered and saw your dream guy… which of course doesn’t even exist.
Both their chemistry was so good, so charming, that I was literally cribbing in the author’s DM why she did what she did in the end. 🥲
That too, because I don’t have the next part with me to know what happened next. Did they get their happy ending? Did they find their way back to each other? Did they kick the “third and fourth person” out of their way? All these questions are gonna hurt my brain until I read what exactly happened ToT
I’m gonna drop updates with you right when I get the book because I am dead sure it’s gonna be gooooodddddd and worthy of being devoured, just like this book – Wars And Wings Part 1: The Incomplete Journey of Three Women.
Oh, while talking about Alaan and Tale, I forgot about Tia, the protagonist of the series, you can say (I guess). She might be a kid, but she’s utterly smart at whatever she does and has strict parents who, like any other parent, think they are doing what’s best for their kid but end up hurting the kid in the process.
I don’t really have much to say without spoiling the book for you guys, but I do want to thank Dr Swamini Chopra Salame (and her friend and husband), who actually made this book possible, and I do want to say, I’m officially in love again. <3
With the book, the story, the author, and reading.
ALSO!!!!!!!!! If you haven’t read the book, YOU HAVE TO READ IT NOW! BUT DO IT ONLY IF YOU HAVE BOTH THE PARTS WITH YOU!
I hope there are no cliff hangers in part 2, which is highly impossible, but a kid can have dreams, right? 🫠
Adios! Until next time.
Stay tuned for upcoming reviews.
