The Korean Saviour by Chandra Kant Jaisansaria – Book Review

The Korean Saviour by Chandra Kant Jaisansaria – Book Review – The Korean Saviour is a fantasy fictional story written by Chandra Kant Jaisansaria. The story is about Rudra, a carefree guy who only lives for himself, and Seo Yoon, Rudra’s girlfriend, and my favourite character in the book. The on-off relationship between Rudra and Seo Yoon is in a way irritating. I don’t know but I felt bad for Seo Yoon when he just walked away from her.

Anyway, because I am a K-drama fan (although I haven’t watched any in a while, they’re love!), I didn’t think twice before buying this book. And to say I loved reading the book would be an understatement. Chandra Kant did a great job in writing this book as the easy flow of the book makes it easy to get into the story and not put too much focus on understanding what the author actually means. Honestly, I’m making The Korean Saviour one of my ‘oh I’ll suggest you read this book any day’ because it turned out to be the one that brought me out of my reading slump.

Back to the book, the story starts with Rudra meeting Disha, a not-so-important character (for me) but still a major part of the book. Villains are supposed to be unwanted right? XD

They meet, and Rudra and his friends decide to go trekking to Kheerganga, they have fun, and his friends DIE. YES, PEOPLE DIE IN THIS BOOK, and well it just makes my skin itch how they were the best part of the book and the author decides to kill them. But then life and death are a part of ghost books, right? (I’m not gonna accept this any day, but what else can I do?)

Now, did I tell you we have Goblin and Grim Reaper as well in this book? If you have watched the K-Drama Goblin, you won’t be able to help yourself but remember Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook as Goblin and Grim Reaper, especially because their banter was all the same and Grim Reaper was trolled again. Ayioooooo! How I felt bad for the Grim Reaper but laughed at the same time. XD

There were quite some scenes that just made me remember the drama Goblin and Tale of the Nine-Tailed. Maybe because I couldn’t let go of imagining Lee Dong Wook as the Grim Reaper. It was fun, to be honest. Hey, another best part was the Korean words that the author used. LOL I was crazily marking all the Korean words he wrote and the fun part was I couldn’t even pronounce a single word except for ‘shamans’. If that’s even a Korean word. Others sounded so funny when I tried to pronounce them.

Overall, it was really fun reading this book and to get your copy, all you have to do is go to your Amazon and find the book or even a better option, just tap here. If you trust my opinion and are in need of an easy read, this book is it for you. Give it a shot right away. Oh, you can also buy the book, The Korean Saviour, from the publication bookstore. tap here for the Damick Publication’s store link to buy the book.
